We are very happy to announce the release of „Menetekel“ by hackedepicciotto.
„hackedepicciotto“ is now the official band name of Alexander Hacke and Danielle de Picciotto.
”Menetekel” is their new double-album and it is darker than their last release “Perseverantia”.
Menetekel is another word for “the writing on the wall” and the artist couple is projecting our collective despair of what is happening worldwide into a monumental symphony of sound, twirling and twisting it into a biblical frenzy. The symbolic and spiritual questions asked give the album an unusual depth, a poignant voice in search of answers.
On the D side of the double LP is a 20 minute sound installation that hackedepicciotto were invited to compose during an art residency in Krems, Austria.
The album is available as a Vinyl double LP with a bonus track or Cd or download.
